Gillian Kocher joined the Pennsylvania SPCA in October of 2015. After spending nearly eight years as the publicist for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, Gillian made the move from fighting to find cures for childhood cancers to advocating for the welfare of animals. Utilizing over a decade of experience in the world of non-profit public and media relations, Gillian spends her days working to raise awareness of the Pennsylvania SPCA’s many services and expand its mission – to protect animals, prevent cruelty and improve the quality of life for animals throughout the region. She earned her bachelor’s degree in public communications from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York, followed by four years at Dan Klores Communications in New York City prior to turning to non-profit work.
Gillian lives in Philadelphia with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Henry Hudson, and her recent addition from the PSPCA, Vera, a one-eyed, three-legged cat. Contact: gkocher@pspca.org
